About Milcote Assembled

Milcote Road is in Bearwood.

It has 175 houses, numbered 1-175, with an estimated 350-400 residents.

It’s a street full of diversity, people young and old.

Milcote Assembled looks to get more people to connect with one another by assembling the people that make up Milcote Road. This will be initiated through anonymous communications via text messaging from a mystery golden bear.

One morning in June 2020, all 175 households woke up to find a quarantined gift at their door inviting them to open it. Inside was some sweeties as well as a welcome note with some instructions to communicate back to this Milcote mystery resident.

From then on, via a series of carefully crafted communications, the fun and games ensued on a ‘play as you go’ contract where Milcote residents will help to devise and take part in small ‘operations’ (a series of small actions) that join us all together.

This website is to document this process but who knows what may become of Milcote Assembled. It’s future is in the residents’ bear hands.

Milcote Assembled has been commissioned by Creative Black Country as part of thier Creative Communities programme
